What are you listening to?

Postby Electro Tomato » Mon Mar 23, 2009 9:26 am

As a good man once said, you can't have too many music threads on a gaming forum... To nick an idea from the Lionhead forums, what are you listening to right now, at this second? Just a freeform thread to post a song, and maybe a little about it. I found a lot of great music through this thread  I'll go first.

"The Wolfpack" - Satyricon
Slow, heavy black metal jam. A lot darker and sadder than early Satyricon.

Goddess Bound - Protest the Hero.

Love the whole Fortress album. This song is one of the really good ones. Fast, complex riffs with some cool vocals, crazy drumming and awesome bass line. Coincidentally, I fretted it recently, and that should be released in a pack for my hero's DLC at some point /shameless self-promotion.

I was just listening to Even Flow - Pearl Jam, but stopped it because my mum was talking to my dad.

Now:
"More than Meets the Eye" - Testament

New school Testament, the best they've done since '90

Not listening to anything at the moment, but I still have to butt in and say Back to the Primitive by Soulfly. Good ol' trash metal that grabs you by your testicles and makes you bang your head like a muthaf*cka.

I went to their concert last saturday. It was INSANE. Maybe it was just because of the small venue (packed absolutely full), but the feeling was incredible and that was likely to have been the best concert I'll ever be in. I mean, the amount of band/crowd interaction there was way better than what you normally get-
Not exactly a 'musical genius'-type band, but goddamnit! You have to see them live!

I'm listening to STRENGTH by Abingdon Boys School.

J-Rock band, they've done a lot of anime themes/endings.

Jeremy - Pearl Jam over here now. I like 'Ten' should be fun to play in RB.
