Hey guys. I recently arranged a few Pokeman songs for a small string ensemble just for kicks. I finished Cycling Road in just under an hour, and realizing how easy it was to do this, I decided to do a few more. So far I have:
If you have any experience with arranging or know the songs, would you mind checking these out and seeing how I did? I tried to not go too over the top, but still add my own little flair when I could. You can listen to them here. Thanks.
Also, what should I do next? I want at least 5 of these, and I'm at 4 since I just started Kanto Trainer Battle. Preferably 1/2 gen as those are the only two I've played through fully and they basically represent my childhood. :3
---UPDATE---
I has vidyas!
This has some reeeely sloppy parts, but the lead lines were pretty cool at times.
I think I really effed up the writing at one point toward the end of the section(it repeats).
This one was pretty solid. Especially the ending. I also have a little solo here at :42, I have the higher line. That line is really weird and difficult to get in tune, so only one person was playing each line there, but I think that worked out pretty well as we both pretty much nailed it. Also, I'm playing 2nd on this one (and Gym Leader) in the back, and you can totally hear me because my part is awesome when the pace picks up. I was playing that part because we had these two new kids who are pretty sloppy pitch-wise and so play quite so that their mistakes aren't heard (but you can't really blame them, they're less experienced and it's hard, everyone does this when the first join), so I was sorta trying to both cover up their mistakes while playing crazy loud because the part is so cool and need to be brought out. So yeah, if you wanna hear just me, that's where you'll here it.
Obviously the sound quality is balls, and the performance is pretty lackluster at times, but this is how it turned out.

No seriously, I love these.
Also, I should do this with your mids, add some badass metal to it
Although it does pain me to say it, Ive lost majority of my interest in gaming in general, along with image manipulation. I still come around to see how the community is doing though. I feel like ill be back soon doing what I did best, but only time will tell. Until then, enjoy the work ive done here.
I would check them out, but I do not have access to a computer right now. D:
Also, I play cello. :D

I was going to suggest cycling road, still one of my favourite pokemontunes, but I see you already did it, haha. And they all sound excellent, good job! I just ran them through my 8bit program, and they sound even better imo in 8bit
Thanks! I'm going to get together with my group next week and hopefully get these recorded live. They should sound amazing if all goes well.

Yeah, but that just means that you are going to spend the whole song fanning the audience. Not a lot of finger work, but your right arm is going to die after 30 seconds.
Wait, so are you actually arranging these or just Remastering them?
Arranging would be adding new verses, new instruments/parts and almost remixing it. Remastering would be just changing the instruments, like replacing the midi sounds with better samples.
So I got to play them with my group today. I asked my private instructor (runs this little shindig) if we could have an hour to run them really quick and he asked if I had enough for everyone (since the full group turned out to be pretty small anyway) and I had just enough. We ran them, and apparently he liked them enough to add them to the setlist of our concert on Friday.

The concert is at St. Mary's.
St. Mary's is a Retirement home.
I don't like using the word, but man, EPIC! They'll probably enjoy it too, they're pretty short and happy songs, so why not
